PREMIUM REISSUE, FAITHFUL TO THE ORIGINAL EDITION — NEW MASTERING — GATEFOLD + 4-PAGE BOOKLET. Telling the earthly and extraterrestrial adventures of a French peasant from the 14th century – Godevin the villain – this third LP by Ange is what is called a "concept album," with a story unfolding throughout the songs. As a result, Ange's rock becomes very cinematic, with instrumentation highlighting the misadventures of the unfortunate Godevin, tossed about by the events of his time and a bit more. This creates music full of contrast and dynamism, always dominated by the keyboards of Francis Decamps, the guitar of Jean-Michel Brezovar, and of course the singing and diction of Christian Decamps. Music for the theater as well, with Christian asserting himself as both the heir of Jacques Brel and that of Molière. A difficult exercise that the Franche-Comté formation masters wonderfully, taking the listener on a superb sonic journey.
