With the release of “SCREAMERS”, TREPONEM PAL announces a thunderous return to the forefront of the rock and metal scene, with sharpened guitars and infectious grooves, the band reconnects with its original ferocity without forgetting to surprise with hard-hitting tracks like “Out of mind”, “Too Late” or the first single “Screamers”. Marco Neves, their leader, a pillar of the alternative rock scene since the mid-80s, tells us a little more about the genesis of “SCREAMERS”: “We started writing and recording with Didier, Polak and JP Mathieu with a very groovy approach, while also trying to rediscover the primal DNA of Treponem Pal from our early days, “Aggravation” and “Excess & Overdrive”. We focused on hardcore/metal tendencies (“Out of mind”, “Screamers”, “Earthquake”), industrial ones (“Too late”, “Heavy Load”, “The Fall”), and more psychedelic ones (“Cosmic Riders”, “Psychedelic Trip”, “Machine”) and a few nods to reggae (“Badass Sound System”, “The Fall”).” The beginning of 2023 also marks a new chapter for TREPONEM PAL, which adds Nicky Tchernenko on bass and Bastien Amy on drums, but also marks the return of one of the band’s original members, the mythical guitarist Laurent Bizet, now alongside Polak. Revitalized, more relevant than ever, the band is therefore fully ready to make its return to recording. All that’s left for you to do is close your eyes and let the sound of “SCREAMERS” wash over you.
