About

21 vinyl albums, including iconic 1984 & 5150 — key pressings and live editions tracked.

Van Halen emerged from Pasadena with founding brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen, initially inspired by classical piano education and rock influences. Their breakthrough began in the mid-70s touring the Sunset Strip, culminating in a fast rise with their 1978 eponymous debut recorded in just three weeks with producer Ted Templeman. The band's lineup changes notably include the replacement of original vocalist David Lee Roth by Sammy Hagar in 1985 and later Gary Cherone in the late 90s, before returning to Roth for reunion tours. Their discography spans classic studio albums like "1984" and "5150," live albums capturing various eras, and expanded reissues, showcasing a blend of technical prowess and accessible melodies.
