Thundercat is a bassist, songwriter and performer recognized by many artists: collaborations that have only continued to multiply, from Flying Lotus of course to Erykah Badu or Stanley Clarke, or more recently on the latest albums by Kendrick Lamar or Kamasi Washington, Wiz Khalifa or Earl Sweatshirt, to name just a few. He very quickly established himself as one of the most fascinating artists of his generation, with a unique touch found on the two solo albums Thundercat released on his comrade Flying Lotus’s label, Brainfeeder: in 2011 The Golden Age of Apocalypse, then in 2013, Apocalypse. In 2016, Thundercat won his first Grammy for his contribution to "These Walls" on Kendrick Lamar’s album "To Pimp A Butterfly". Here he is today back with this new album "Drunk", in which we find that unique touch, an album at the crossroads of soul, jazz, the beat scene and pop, with collaborations just as prestigious as each other: Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Wiz Khalifa, and even Michael McDonald & Kenny Loggins (Dobbie Brothers). It also features Flying Lotus on programming and Kamasi Washington on saxophone on a few tracks.
