Originally, he became known in the context of the new wave of the British Heavy Metal scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s that gave us Iron Maiden, Saxon, and Angel Witch. The first recorded appearance of Prowler was on the LP ‘Brute Force’ in 1980 on MCA, a compilation of NWOBHM alongside Raven, White Spirit, and Quartz.
The band was formed in 1975 by John Pattenden (guitar), Martin Burrows (guitar), and Trev Pattenden (bass and vocals) in Basildon, Essex.
Several of their songs were produced by Chris Tsangarides, but no official album had been released until now.
This album is the band's first official release and includes 6 tracks from 1980 as well as 2 from 1981 and the tracks commemorating the 30th and 40th anniversary of the band!
