Muse’s third album, Absolution, confirms the potential of Matthew Bellamy’s band, considered essential to any modern rock collection. With original song structures, keeping only the best of progressive rock - stripped of solos - Absolution gives Muse a true identity and sounds like the best in the genre. If only one had to be chosen from the trio’s early period, it would be this one, the very essence of the Muse style.
