For 20 years, Long Distance Calling have been telling stories without words. Their albums are true monoliths of cinematic rock, capable of conveying deep emotions without uttering a single syllable. Great musical frescoes of transcendent beauty, surging sonic storms of instrumental perfection, with not the slightest distraction from lyrics. Just sound. Sound in its purest form. The Phantom Void is the powerful testimony of a band at the peak of its creativity: this recording is both a celebration of the past and a bold step toward the future.
