The 10th album for the Swedes of Dark Tranquillity, inspired and effective from start to finish, Construct takes us through a succession of catchy, varied tracks, steeped in dark and epic atmospheres, superbly enhanced by keyboards that masterfully underline the excellent melodies, naturally omnipresent throughout the album. Formidably effective, the small electronic touches are always well integrated. Everything here is impeccable: an impressive melodic dimension, a gothic atmosphere reinforced by sumptuous keyboards, choruses of rare effectiveness, incredible power, phenomenal clean vocals filled with emotion and showing both a strength and a charisma the singer has never matched until now. Construct earns a place of choice in the already impressive discography of the masters of melodic Death.
