Explorant une des périodes les plus créatives de la carrière de Joni Mitchell, à travers ses archives et certaines prestations scéniques, ce coffret Deluxe 5CD 'Archives Vol. 2 : The Reprise Years (1968-1971)' propose près de 6 heures d'enregistrements, avec entre autres inédits 5 titres enregistrés lors de la création de l'album 'Blue' (le titre "Hunter", les démos "A Case Of You" et "California", les versions alternatives de "River", "Urge For Going"), ainsi que la chanson "Jesus", captée en 1969chez son amie Jane Lurie à Chelsea.Par ailleurs, des prestations au Hibou Coffee House d'Ottawa en mars 1968 et au Paris Theatre de Londres en 1970 (concert diffusé par la BBC durant lequel Joni Mitchell interprète "Carey", "River" et "My Old Man'', et avec James Taylor "A Case Of You" et "California" ) émaillent ce coffret, dont le point d'orgue est le premier concert que donna Joni Mitchell au Carnegie Hall, en février 1969, peu avant la sortie de son second album 'Clouds'.Inclus aussi un livret avec de nouveaux entretiens avec Cameron Crowe et des photos inédites.
