Après avoir complété sa célèbre trilogie folk-rock en 1979, Jethro Tull était de retour en 1980 avec `A, un album caractérisé par de nouvelles sonorités et un nouveau line-up constitué autour de Ian Anderson et du guitariste Martin Barre, avec Dave Pegg (basse, mandoline), Mark Craney (batterie) et Eddie Jobson aux claviers.
