Description

Zar Electrik is a trio from Marseille, activists on the Mediterranean scene. Anass Zine's captivating voice, with its Maghrebi influences, accompanied by traditional instruments like the oud and gumbri, subtly blends with Arthur Péneau's deep voice. Péneau introduces his hybrid African influences with his kora, which he mystifies with electric effects. Composer and producer Did Miosine elevates the whole, bringing his knowledge and mastery of machines, synths, and the codes of electronic music. The result is explosive. Together, the three create a rich and generous music, a journey between the Maghreb, sub-Saharan Africa, and the West.
