Yann Tiersen has announced a new album, Portrait, a collection of 25 tracks, including 22 newly recorded tracks (tracks released during his career) as well as three new songs, which will be released on Mute / [PIAS] on December 6, 2019. The album will be released as a double CD, digitally, and as a triple vinyl version. The Portrait editions include a 7" vinyl with a harpsichord version of 'Comptine D'Un Autre Eté (l'après-midi)' and 'The Waltz of the Monsters', unavailable anywhere else. This new album, featuring many collaborations including John Grant, Gruff Rhys from Super Furry Animals, Stephen O’Malley from Sunn O))) or Blonde Redhead, was recorded at Tiersen's brand new studio, l'Eskal, on his island of Ushant where the artist met with his collaborators. Yann Tiersen reinvents some of the flagship titles of his career by re-exploring their universes and themes.
