Far from the streets of Montmartre and the film Amélie (Jean-Pierre Jeunet), for which he composed the soundtrack that brought him to public attention, YANN TIERSEN sends us his new album EUSA (Ouessant in Breton) from the desolate and sparsely populated landscapes of his Breton island.This first album, consisting solely of instrumental piano compositions, is indeed a new step in the artist's quest for diversity and follows the critically acclaimed album Infinity (2014).As always, locations are important in Tiersen's creations, and EUSA is proof of this, as the album creates a musical map of the island of Ouessant in 10 tracks and 10 locations.Initially only available as sheet music, YANN TIERSEN decided to record them in the legendary English studio Abbey Road.A masterful, poignant, and captivating work.
