This year, the summer night concert will take place on June 13. This annual open-air concert will be held on the grounds of Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, Austria. Renowned conductors who have already led the orchestra at this event include Georges Prêtre, Daniel Barenboim, Franz Welser-Möst, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Andris Nelsons, Daniel Harding, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. This year, the program of the 22nd Summer Night Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic focuses on well-known melodies from opera and operetta, featuring famous arias as well as popular overtures and interludes. Maestro Tugan Sokhiev, who will make his debut at this event, will conduct the orchestra, joined by the celebrated tenor Piotr Beczała as vocal soloist. Another first: the Vienna Boys' Choir will participate in the Summer Night Concert for the first time.
