Vanishing Twin's flagship album, The Age Of Immunology, is being released in a LTD edition on vinyl None 'Pink' and Sine 'Teal', limited to 500 copies each and accompanied by a matching sleeve. It offers an essential perspective on psych-pop futurism and is a must for fans of Broadcast, Sun Ra, and Ennio Morricone. Establishing the band as an innovator in its field, the record has been declared "a masterpiece" by The Line Of Best Fit, while The Quietus stated that Vanishing Twin is "one of the most original and exciting bands around." This is the band's first album for Fire Records. At the time of recording, the group consists of composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Cathy Lucas, drummer Valentina Magaletti, bassist Susumu Mukai, synthesizer/guitarist Phil MFU, and visual artist/filmmaker Elliott Arndt, who plays flute and percussion. The album was produced by Lucas in a number of unusual locations, outside of the studio. "KRK (At Home In Strange Places)" evokes the spirit of Sun Ra's Lanquidity and Broadcast And The Focus Group Investigate Witch Cults Of The Radio and was simply recorded on an iPhone during a concert on the Croatian island of Krk, where psychic connectivity crackled. The magical Morricone lounge of "You Are Not an Island," the Jean-Claude Vannier arrangement of "Invisible World," and the sci-fi funk ode to the cult 1972 French animated film "Planète Sauvage" were all recorded during nighttime sessions in an abandoned factory in Sudbury.
