The title of his debut album on Jakarta Records says it all: "Wachstum". Umse spent three years tinkering on his new album together with in-house producer Deckah, but "it just takes its time until the sound aesthetic matures," because "to compose something that lasts means to grind and create." That doesn't mean Umse does everything differently than in previous years. There's still "no street drama with handguns," no hipster rap, no dubstep remixes, "no Sandys and Mandys for the chorus."
