"Cedar Shakes," Timber Timbre's debut album, available for the first time on vinyl! For the first time since its original release, "Cedar Shakes," Timber Timbre's debut album, is getting a worldwide vinyl release. This album is one of the obscure gems in the Timber Timbre catalog, with only very small numbers pressed by the artist and sold at concerts over the years. Until now. "Cedar Shakes" is a homemade album, concocted by Taylor Kirk, primarily using what he had around him at the time: guitar, banjo, harmonica, piano, and some found percussion. "Cedar Shakes" gathers Timber Timbre's very first recordings, in which Kirk attempts to capture the sound of "two or three different people losing their minds, banging on the cabin's walls and floors, howling and caterwauling." Up until then, Kirk had played a few shows where he would burn CD-Rs of his four-track recordings to sell outside the venue and on consignment at stores in the Toronto area.
