As their first EP celebrates its 10th anniversary, the English indie folk trio is preparing to release a third album, their first in five years.
Since 2015, the three sisters have lived for a time in Minneapolis where they created a lot, taking more control of their productions, and took the opportunity to do a long tour in the United States and several collaborations, notably with the sextet yMusic on Nonesuch, Leonard Cohen, and Paul Weller.
This new album "Good Woman" was written over several years during which the band went through trials, including the death of their mother, which gives a certain depth to the record. It was recorded in late 2019 in London and co-produced by John Congleton (Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, St Vincent). It is a "record about sisterhood, motherhood, parenthood, love, loss, change, trying to be a good person, an honest woman".
