The Pretty Things, cult heroes of the first wave of R&B, created some of the most exciting and innovative records of the 60s and early 70s. The band achieved massive success and had an enormous influence on artists as diverse as Aerosmith, The Ramones, Bob Dylan, The Sex Pistols, The White Stripes, and Kasabian. Following the legendary "S.F. Sorrow," the psychedelic classic from '68, the band entered Abbey Road Studios and began work on "Parachute." Released in 1970, the album was named album of the year by Rolling Stone. Now it's "Parachute"'s turn to be re-released as a double vinyl edition for its 50th anniversary.
