Hailing from Evansville, Indiana, The Cold Stares formed in 2009. The duo (since expanding to a trio) has released seven studio albums. Their 2012 album "A Cold Wet Night and a Howling Wind" sold 25,000 copies and reached number one on Amazon Music's Blues Rock album chart. For nearly a decade, The Cold Stares toured relentlessly as a duo, captivating audiences across America and Europe with intense, high-energy shows that belied their minimalist guitar-and-drum setup. In 2023, the band found a new synergy and embarked on a new chapter, welcoming a third member and embracing the classic power trio sound that inspired them with their explosive and acclaimed album, "Voices." Building on the international success of "Voices," named one of the best albums of 2023 by Classic Rock Magazine, The Cold Stares traveled to Memphis Magnetic Studio in Tennessee to record the band's next chapter and follow-up: the immense album "The Southern." They are back with "The Southern Part 2," which has already enriched the blues rock tracks "Automobile" and "Little More Rope."
