2024 marks the 60th anniversary of The Beatles' first trip to the United States. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of this incredible year, Universal Music is reissuing these albums on vinyl, faithfully reproduced from the original master tapes. This is the first time these albums have been available on vinyl since the 1980s. 180-gram pressing.
They paved the way for all other English rock bands, marking the beginning of the "British Invasion." As soon as they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964, The Beatles immediately excited American teenagers, ignited passions, and Beatlemania swept across the entire country.
Because they were behind the rest of the world, Capitol US executives decided to release their own versions of the albums, changing tracklists, adding singles, and removing others. They also created mono mixes that differed from those made at Abbey Road.
