I ROBOT - ÉDITION LIMITÉE - VINYLE TRANSPARENT

Description

The Alan Parsons Project’s I Robot, widely considered to be one of the greatest concept albums of all time, is reissued in various formats including a limited edition 180g transparent vinyl, half-speed mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios. The Alan Parsons Project’s second studio album, originally released in July 1977, is conceptually based on author Isaac Asimov’s science fiction Robot stories, exploring philosophical themes concerning artificial intelligence. The album was a global success with over two million copies sold, achieving platinum and gold status in many countries. As with other Alan Parsons Project albums, multiple lead vocalists were employed, including Steve Harley, Allan Clarke, Lenny Zakatek, Peter Straker, Jack Harris and Jaki Whitren. Added to this is a selection of studio musicians such as guitarist Ian Bairnson and drummer Stuart Tosh, with arrangements by Andrew Powell. For most APP albums, Eric Woolfson had duplicate analogue tapes recorded to a second master machine, tapes which were virtually unplayed. These vinyl formats have been cut from a hi-res archive transfer from the rarely played master tapes.
