Description

Sylvan Esso, the duo from Durham, North Carolina, brings together Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn. Over their career, they have released four critically acclaimed albums, received two GRAMMY nominations, and collaborated with an eclectic community of artists such as Arooj Aftab, Maggie Rogers, Tyler Childers, and Reyna Tropical. Their new single WDID, accompanied by the hypnotic B-side KEEP ON, marks their first release since 2022 and the first via their own label, Psychic Hotline. These tracks were born from an intense period of creation and experimentation in the lush woods of Chapel Hill, free from time constraints, with the participation of collaborators such as Jake Luppen, Daniel Aged, and TJ Maiani. WDID unfolds with a frenetic energy, oscillating between the anxious flow of a late-night scroll and the euphoria of the dance floor, while KEEP ON is built from collective improvisations. Sylvan Esso continues to explore off-kilter, vulnerable, and fragmented electrified pop, creating a sound that is both strange and magical, revealing the human tensions at the heart of their songwriting.
