Sargeant Place (CD inclus)

Description

Spain's new album, entitled "Sargent Place", will be released in February 2014. Produced by Gus Seyffert (The Black Keys, Beck, Norah Jones), mixed by Darrell Thorp (Beck, Radiohead, Paul McCartney) and recorded in Gus's home studio (located on a street in Echo Park called Sargent Place), this album is a sign of renewal while recalling the artistic achievement of their first album, "The Blue Moods of Spain". Josh sings a duet with his father, bassist Charlie Haden, for the second time on the track "You and I". He also reunites with his sister Petra Haden, who accompanied him on the recent live album "The Morning Becomes Eclectic". Guitarist Daniel Brummel joins in on the tracks "The Fighter", the bluesy "From the Dust", and "Sunday Morning". Founded by Josh Haden, Spain has come a long way since their first album in 1995. After the release of a "Best Of" and the band's hiatus in 2003, Josh reformed Spain in 2007 with new members. In 2012, "The Soul of Spain" was released, the first album to contain new material in over ten years, followed by the live album "The Morning Becomes Eclectic" in 2013, and then "Sargent Place" due out in early 2014.
