It's difficult to outdo a masterpiece like "Svartir Sandar," SOLSTAFIR's previous album released in 2011, which was praised by critics and fans alike. Yet, the Icelanders managed the unthinkable, with a fifth album rich in disillusioned atmospheres, contained violence, and soulful vocals. The title track even indulges in hooking the listener with the sound of a melancholic banjo. SOLSTAFIR is definitely unclassifiable.
