Balishark

Description

Balishark finally lands on earth, on vinyl, in a lovingly screen-printed sleeve, on the Lyon-based label Groovedge Records. This record is something very special for us, it's a heap of eternal "memories", of smiles, of light, of sun, of pleasure... with our friend, that beautiful man on the back cover, full of sunbeams. Five songs make up this album, the first, Balishark is a true "sound piece", it's a lot of field recordings by Pierre Sharki that he made in the wonderland of Bali, they, with Guitos Samba, Jonas Taupe Gun and Grand Matthias fixed a composition of this atmos sound at La Cabane, a studio in Lyon. "Jawabarat" is a pure interpretation of the rhythm and logic of West Javan gamelan. And the B-side, it's just jams, excerpts from the early mornings!
