Formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Sepultura is arguably Brazil's greatest musical export, having achieved enormous global success throughout their career. During this period, they released fifteen studio albums and sold over 20 million records worldwide. "A-Lex", released in 2006, is the band's 11th studio album and is based on Anthony Burgess' novel "A Clockwork Orange" (1982). "A-lex", the new Sepultura album, is directly inspired by Anthony Burgess' novel "A Clockwork Orange" (original title: A Clockwork Orange). The title, "Alex", is a Russian expression that can be translated as "Lawless". Recorded in Sao Paulo at Trama Studios, "A-lex" features 18 tracks with a total duration of 60 minutes. The first album recorded with the new drummer, Jean Dolabella, "Alex" stands out from all previous Sepultura opuses. The compositions are the result of over 3 months of jamming during which the band gave free rein to their ideas.
