After his high-flying collaboration with Sunn O))), the great Scott Walker returns on August 19 with the soundtrack to the film The Childhood Of A Leader, directed by Brady Corbet and starring Robert Pattinson, Liam Cunningham and Bérénice Bejo. This is the first soundtrack composed by Scott Walker since his excellent work on Pola X in 1999. For this new project, Walker continues his long-standing collaboration with Peter Walsh (co-producer) and Mark Warman (conductor), leading an orchestra of 46 strings and 16 brass instruments for the studio recording. Adapted from a short story by Jean-Paul Sartre of the same name, The Childhood Of A Leader is a drama that recounts the psychological meanderings of a young American during the negotiations for the Treaty of Versailles at the end of the First World War.
