Fly to the Rainbow

The Scorpions' second studio album, 'Fly To The Rainbow', was released on November 1, 1974, and is the first album self-produced by the band members. The album was released shortly after their Lonesome Crow tour, after which Michael Schenker left the band and was replaced by Uli Jon Roth. Stylistically, 'Fly To The Rainbow' departs strongly from their debut album 'Lonesome Crow' and evolves in a more experimental direction, which, however, already shows strong Hard Rock influences and gives an idea of where the band would later go. In addition to lead singer Klaus Meine, the album also features vocals from Rudolf Schenker ("They Need a Million") and Uli Jon Roth ("Drifting Sun"). To date, the album has sold over one million copies worldwide. 'Fly To The Rainbow' has been remastered from the original tapes with a special touch and is now released on 180 gr. transparent purple vinyl. In addition to 'Fly To The Rainbow', 'Tokyo Tapes', 'In Trance', 'Virgin Killer', 'Humanity (Hour 1)', 'Savage Amusement', 'Blackout', 'Lovedrive', 'World Wide Live', 'Taken By Force', 'Animal Magnetism' and 'Love At First Sting' will also be released in new colored vinyl versions.
