Description

Opus is the 8th studio album by Schiller, a project created by the German musician Christopher Von Deylen. Opus combines electronic music with classical themes such as Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1, Edvard Grieg's Solveig's Song, Sergei Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43, and Claude Debussy's Reverie. On this album, Schiller notably collaborated with Russian soprano Anna Netrebko, French pianist Hélène Grimaud, Chinese pianist Lang Lang, and German oboist Albrecht Mayer. Opus is the first album to be released under Deutsche Grammophon's "Panorama" label. The album reached the number one spot in the German charts during its first week of release.
