Xpander EP

Description

As a Grammy-nominated artist, remixer for Madonna, Moby and the Chemical Brothers, and winner of various prestigious awards and hearts on dance floors around the world, Welsh DJ Sasha needs little introduction. In 1999, he released the double 12" EP Xpander, containing four epic progressive trance tracks, each over 10 minutes long. Each track progresses slowly and takes you on a journey through many tense buildups and intense releases without ever letting go. No wonder the EP won the "Best Techno/Trance 12"" award at the 1999 International Dance Music Awards; this is no small feat given the staggering number of influential trance records released at that time. Fun fact for enthusiasts: the EP's title is a tribute to the Oberheim Xpander, a legendary late-80s synth that defined much of the sound of that era.
