MUSIC FOR LOVERS

Description

«Music for Lovers» is the new solo album by multi-instrumentalist Samuel Rohrer (who plays on this recording a combination of percussion, modular synthesizer, and keyboard instruments). The album title, which has been used for other albums in unrelated musical genres, can be misleading: those expecting overly sentimental, light, and airy pieces from start to finish, or sarcastic and cynical attempts to dismiss such "easy" listening, will be surprised by the emotional and tonal complexity displayed here. In Rohrer's own words, it is dedicated to "those courageous lovers, who are ready not only to find, but ultimately to become the truth," and is therefore an exploration of an evolutionary process rather than an idealized state.
