'Gates to Purgatory' is the debut studio album by the German heavy metal band Running Wild, released in 1984. It predates their pirate themes and features lyrics primarily influenced by Satanism, but also songs with anarchic and libertarian themes. It is part of Gerald "Preacher" Warnecke's theological studies. He left the band shortly after the album's release to become a priest.This special yellow vinyl version is a limited edition.The band, formed in 1984, reinvented itself with each album, moving from progressive rock to gothic rock.
