A trumpet prodigy, Roy Hargrove is a genius on the contemporary Jazz scene. Discovered by the iconic Wynton Marsalis in the mid-80s, he participated in numerous albums by giants such as Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Oscar Peterson, and Michael Brecker, but also invited artists from popular music like Erykah Badu, Common, D'Angelo, and Gilles Peterson.
A fan of creating multiple bands, Roy Hargrove formed "Roy Hargrove Crisol" and infused his Jazz with a Latin dynamic. A year after the 1997 release of 'Habana,' the trumpeter returns with 'Grande Terre,' but the album is only now being released, making this a completely new opus.
