Eu Gosto Dela + Seu Ze - Vinyle Rouge

Description

One of the most exciting singer-songwriters from Rio de Janeiro of the last fifteen years now lives in Los Angeles, where he is on the verge of a long-overdue American breakthrough. Rogê, born Roger José Cury, has become a fervent follower of samba-funk, tinged with Brazilian soul. His fame grew when he wrote the theme song for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. "Seu Zé" is the first new song from the Brazilian artist since the release of his first American-made album, Curyman, in March 2023. Sumptuously produced by Thomas Brenneck of the Budos Band, a top session guitarist and collaborator with stars (Lady Gaga, Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse), "Seu Zé" is meant to capture the spirit of people on the street. It is a "Partido Alto" style samba that originates from religious festivals in rural communities where jongo (a musical style deeply rooted in Africa) was played. Brazilian energy has a universal ability to inspire, and Rogê continues to do so through his music and masterful performance.
