15 years after BEFORE BACH, RODOLPHE BURGER and ÉRIK MARCHAND return to the mine, delving deeper to extract a new repertoire. "GLÜCK AUF!" ("Good Luck!"): this is the motto of the miners of Sainte-Marie-Aux-Mines. It is also the title of this new album, recorded with the essential MEHDI HADDAB and fellow travelers JULIEN PERRAUDEAU (keyboards, bass) and ARNAUD DIETERLEN (drums). A new partner has joined the team: PAULINE WILLERVAL (Bulgarian violin and vocals). A blues dedicated to John Henry (the working-class hero par excellence), a customized theme by Titi Robin, a revisited Albanian piece, a Turkish song, a chant dedicated to Manuel Kerjean, Érik Marchand's master, reinterpreted tracks by Rodolphe Burger, and even an improbable version of Grauzone's Eisbär, these are some of the components of this new repertoire, which once again illustrates the kinship between blues and traditional music, boosted by the energy of a rock rhythm section.
