Formed in 1986 in Wolfsburg, Protector is one of the most underrated thrash/death bands in Germany. Their first EP Misanthropy (1987) is a brutal and uncompromising attack, blending speed, darkness and extreme aggression, driven notably by the radical vocals of Martin Missy. A true testament to their intensity, this cult classic is now reissued with unreleased demo tracks, illustrating the band's early days.
