Description

Oscar Powell is an English producer, but first and foremost the founder of the techno label Diagonal, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. Signed to XL Recordings since 2015, Powell has been considered by many to be the rising star of electronic music since his debut in 2011. He is finally releasing his first album, titled Sport, which he considers neither a techno nor a dance album, much less 'no-wave techno', but simply the result of the soundtrack of what was going through his head. Powell explains the concept of the record a little better: "It's called Sport because I wanted it to be fun. Like sport, music is physical, you can dance to it. And I wanted to take people's brains on that journey with me." All aboard!
