Arrangement for solo guitar of some of Glass's most famous pieces.
Appropriately, Cousins begins with a fluid rendition of "Opening," the first track from Glass's iconic album, "Glassworks," released in 1983, designed to introduce the composer's music to the public. Cousins follows his program with four rearranged piano pieces from "Metamorphosis," the second of which, "Metamorphosis No.2," was nominated for an Oscar for the film "The Hours." The album concludes with "Knee Play 2" from the opera "Einstein on the Beach," released in 1976, an emblem of 20th-century theater, and finally "Truman Sleeps," from the Golden Globe-winning score.
