The godfather of techno returns with a new album. His new album is both the continuation and the evolution of the unique style that has seen Paul amass millions of fans worldwide. Musically as uncompromising as his previous albums, "7" sees the return of the use of vocals in his compositions since he recorded 'Sky & Sand'. With his signing to Columbia|Sony International, Paul is the first artist to be granted access to the recordings and tapes of Sony and Columbia, and he had the chance to recover samples from icons such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, or Bob Dylan. For this album, he also used the vocals of D-Train (Cloud Rider), Jefferson Airplane, and Luther Vandross. "7" marks the conclusion of an important 12-month period for Kalkbrenner. The previous year, he was invited by the German government to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall by performing in front of the Brandenburg Gate to more than 500,000 people!! Then in March, after signing for 15 years with independent labels (10 years with Bpitch Control and 5 years with his own label), Paul signed a long-term contract with Sony International|Columbia. The release of "7" will be accompanied by a brand new live show with a fully customized stage design and production, to be experienced at summer festivals and soon on a French tour.
