Dans ce nouvel album Blue Note, la musicienne a entrepris d'insuffler une nouvelle vie dans la musique d'un des plus mythiques compositeurs américain Cole Porter."The Cole Porter Mix" n'est pas uniquement constitué de reprises du glorieux répertoire de Cole Porter puisqu'il contient également trois titres inspirés par son oeuvre qui se fondent parfaitement dans ce bel ensemble. Cole Porter a toujours été mon idole en tant que songwriter, confesse Patricia Barber. "I love his music and I have been singing his songs for years."
