Under the name Papercuts, Jason Quever has been producing timeless, guitar-driven dream pop since 2004, impervious to the trends and micro-genres that have come and gone around him.
Made shortly after Jason's return to the San Francisco Bay Area after several years in Los Angeles, this new album explores the tensions between the pleasures of returning home and the collective woes of the pandemic and our current political upheavals.
The results are captivating, from the sunny pop harmonies of the lead single "I Want My Jacket Back" to the whimsical space-pop of "Lodger" and the magnificent "Palm Sunday" with its Bunnymen-esque touches.
