Pantha du Prince has been touring steadily since the release of "The Triad" in May 2016, his first studio album in 6 years. Created in collaboration with two musicians, New Yorker Scott Mou and Norwegian Bendik Kjeldsberg, "The Triad" was both a return to and a leap forward from the style and compositional form that had made Pantha du Prince famous. But "The Triad" has even more to offer, and Hendrik Weber, his real name, has completely revisited the album to create an ambient version, leaving aside the beats and most of the vocals from the original version. A delicate, dreamy, and unutterably beautiful renewal, the ambient version of "The Triad" will be released on June 9th on Rough Trade.
In addition to Weber's ambient version, a handful of producers from diverse electronic backgrounds who contributed to the remixes of "The Triad" songs have also created an EP consisting solely of remixes, which will be released at the same time as the new version of the album. This EP features deep house king Solomun, Berlin acid-house pro Recondite, eclectic minimalist Edfemin, and Dutch artist Shinedoe, among many others.
