Hendrick Weber, alias Pantha Du Prince, has distinguished himself for about ten years by showcasing his minimalist creations outdoors and conversely by integrating sounds from nature into his music. With 'The Conference Of Trees', a new stage project created last year in Hamburg, he leads a group of percussionists and instruments made from different types of wood, to establish a direct link with the forests that served as his sources of inspiration. While electronics remain his primary medium, it is here put to the service of a pantheistic and poetic ode to natural elements, accompanied by a dazzling immersive scenography where all visual, costume, and sound arts are called upon for a good ecological cause. "Without forests, we would not exist as humans on this planet," Weber reminds us.
