Bob Marley had just released his eighth and final album ("Uprising"), and artists like Burning Spear, Culture, and the Mighty Diamonds were attracting an ever-growing audience in Jamaica, Europe, and the United States. More than twenty years after its creation, Jamaican music had established itself globally. Roots reggae and Rastafarianism were finally receiving well-deserved recognition. It was in this euphoric atmosphere that Pablo Moses recorded "A Song," which he considered the logical follow-up to "Revolutionary Dream."
