-for the first time on VINYL (the original version was only available on CD in 1992)-2024 Remaster, mastered for vinyl-the most popular of the three Non-Fiction albums-printed insert with liner notes and numerous illustrations-featuring Alan Tecchio (Hades, Watchtower) and Dan Lorenzo (Hades, Patriarchs In Black)-The voice of Hades & Watchtower meets US doomy metal with a 70s grooveDuring a European tour of HADES, it became evident that the band would soon dissolve. Guitarist Dan Lorenzo formed Non-Fiction with Dan Nastasi (MUCKY PUP, DOG EAT DOG), who then recorded an EP. However, the line-up carousel would spin again, and HADES and WATCHTOWER vocalist Alan Tecchio and bassist Kevin Bolembach (later SEVEN WITCHES, JACK FROST and others) came on board. In 1991, the first album "Preface" was released on Grand Slamm Records, in Europe on Steamhammer/SPV. At the time, the band's doom metal tendencies must have puzzled many HADES and WATCHTOWER fans, while enthusiasts of this style remained unaware in an era when the Internet did not exist. It is astonishing that some HADES trademarks are still found in NON-FICTION's music (see also HADES' 1995 reunion album). In 1992, the second album "In The Know" was released, which is considered a fan favorite and was only released on CD at the time. Once again, the cover art recalls the art of Hipgnosis (Pink Floyd, UFO, etc.). Many fans were waiting for an LP version, which is now available 32 years later.After the album's release, Non-Fiction successfully toured with Savatage and Overkill, where they could be seen in Europe.Today, HADES and WATCHTOWER (with Alan Tecchio) are active again - sporadically - and many fans hope that Non-Fiction will make a new appearance. The musical continuation, albeit a bit more modern, is currently provided by Dan Lorenzo's band, PATRIARCHS IN BLACK, which is enjoying great success in the United States.
