Description

If 1977 is the pivotal year that attests to the Punk explosion in the United States, Great Britain, and France, the previous year (1976) marks the start of punk productions on 45s. With "New Rose" by the Damned, "Blitzkrieg Bop" by the Ramones, and "Anarchy in the UK" by the Sex Pistols, punk breaks into the history of Rock. 50 years after this sonic blast, No Suicide Act intends to mark the Punk anniversary with two new tracks in tune with current events: "On nous bombarde" is a cry for survival in the era of multiple wars affecting civilian populations, while "Singe hurleur" acts as a warning and emancipation message set against a machinist backdrop plunged into the furnace of a saturated baritone sax. The cover art reuses the codes of the Do it Yourself urgency emblematic of the Punk movement, with a nod to the Clash and the Damned.
