New remastered 3 CD edition.With five bonus tracks and two additional CDs of rare concert recordings from 1977.Restored cover and new liner notes by Mo Moore of Nektar.Originally released in September 1977, "Magic Is A Child" was recorded in the United States after the departure, the previous year, of Nektar's original guitarist and vocalist, Roye Albrighton.With the arrival of guitarist and vocalist Dave Nelson, Nektar entered House Of Music studio in New Jersey to record their final album of the 1970s. The sessions featured synthesizer virtuoso Larry Fast (Synergy, Peter Gabriel) and Robert Fripp (credited under the pseudonym Walt Nektroid).Although marking a slight shift for Nektar towards shorter compositions, the album has grown in popularity over the years since its initial release and is now more appreciated than ever by fans. This expanded 3 CD edition has been fully remastered from the original tapes and includes five bonus tracks as well as two additional discs of live recordings made during the "Magic Is A Child" tour at Hofstra University (Long Island) and the Community Theater in Phoenix (Arizona) in October and November 1977, revealing the full power of this lineup on stage. The box set contains a booklet with new text by Mo Moore.
