YAPI, Myra's debut album, lays its foundations in Greece, as if searching for the missing piece of her identity, closer to her French-Hellenic origins after a trip with her father at the age of 20.
It was in Crete that Myra fulfilled a dream she had cherished for 4 years: to bring her musicians together for an artistic residency and crystallize her vision. This exercise allowed her to build her own story from her roots.
With YAPI, Myra highlights the beauty of the unfinished, reflecting her personal and artistic journey. Themes that are both intimate and universal: travel, identity, doubts, mourning, love, everyday life, strength. Musically, the album is warm and vibrant: strings and percussion weave melancholic melodies inspired by popular songs, with the added bonus of a common thread of traditional Greek instruments that enriches the sound world without ever diluting the artist's unique DNA. A project capable of touching hearts while making bodies move.
This album, which will be released on January 30, 2026, will be preceded by a celebration at La Cigale on January 22, because that's how Myra conceives her concerts: true transgenerational parties where the artist is keen to make people sing, dance, and "look people in the eyes to make them smile."
