Waving between the arts, Myra is the perfect reflection of a generation of virtuosos and jacks-of-all-trades. Author, singer, actress, composer, director, she distills therapeutic lyrics over unifying melodies, which earned her the Prix FAIR - YouTube Music 2023.
To restore popular song to its former glory: it is with this deeply held desire that Myra makes her deep voice, with its suave accents, resonate on the new French music scene.
Her next EP, "Après la pluie" (After the Rain), sounds like a promise, one that she embodies so completely that it is tattooed on her back. Intimate and personal, the project promises to once again make bodies sway to heal minds. A universal and unifying catalyst that reminds us that there is joy even in despair, just as there is melancholy even in great happiness.
One slips into this EP as one would enter a samba, in which one can glimpse among the cheerful crowd Dave de Souza on production (Emma Peters, Aya, Hatik...), a consistently delicate Lawrence Clais (Phoenix, Chassol, Eddy de Pretto) on rhythm, Stéphane One on piano, and an astounding gospel choir.
The vinyl, available on March 7th, will feature the 5 tracks from the EP as well as 3 bonus acoustic tracks. The project benefits from a partnership with Nova, which has supported the artist from the beginning with several tracks on its playlist.
The concerts Myra has already given, including a packed Maroquinerie, have been true intergenerational celebrations where the artist was keen to get everyone singing and dancing. For someone who is also an actress (HPI), the stage is a natural fit; however, patience will be needed for the real celebration that will take place at La Cigale on January 22, 2026.
